September's here! Fall is coming! Pumpkins, crafts, comfort foods - the whole shabang.
I wont bore you with my basic-ness over how much I enjoy this holiday, but I will say that I'm super grateful to have my husband with me for the holidays and all the seasonal festivities this year. I love to go all out on Halloween, and having Andrew home to help us celebrate just makes my love for the season all that much more intense.
You guys know I love to plan out Isla's wardrobe way ahead of time, and this year was no different. Target/Gap/Joyfolie are killing it in the fall textiles department - the corduroy, suede, and chunky sweaters were just too much. Don't judge, I fully admit its entirely shameful how much joy I get out of shopping for Isla.

Anyhow, I'm sure I overdid it with the neutrals this year and I'll end up buying more patterns, but I thought starting out with some basics was the way to go and then I could add from there. Old Navy/Target/Gap always come out with new products down the line, so I figured I would just purchase a thing here and there when that time comes.
I love pairing basics and statement pieces! Don't be afraid of the faux fur vests, either. They're easy to clean. I've definitely washed them on delicate in the wash and then hung them up to dry after. I also brush out the furs so they stay looking quaffed, but I've only ever done it a handful of times and the vests I have for Isla still look incredible!
H&M is AMAZING for getting pants. Especially if your little one is tall like Isla. Can I have one of each, please? So cute. I also love H&M's grunge/tomboy look - awesome for switching it up.
Joyfolie is definitely the place to go for statement pieces. They're expensive so they'll definitely be your splurge pieces but if you stick to 1 or 2 items (this will be hard) and shop their sales, it's not too bad.

SHOES. In the past, I've been obsessed with Hunter boots for Isla, but this year's new obsession is Mini Melissa's rain boot. It's sooo delicate and feminine. I'll buy Isla a $12 pair of rain boots from Walmart to play in, and she can wear these beauties for everyday/classy occasions. Just. Too. Cute. I also stayed away from boots this year, whereas last year I was boot-obsessed! It may be a super-cold winter and I may decide to buy a pair or two a little later, but for now I'm sticking with flats because they're a little more feminine-looking to match the outfits I've picked out.
Quick tip! I shopped at Target, Old Navy/Gap, and Joyfolie for Isla's fall wardrobe and the widgets below are kind of all over the place because I grouped them together by category. Feel free to scroll and read, but if you're in a rush, here's a list of the things I bought at each store!
